Located near the famous Crater Lake National Park, the Huckleberry Mountain Campground is a secluded and uncrowded area that offers visitors a rustic and traditional kind of camping experience. It's surrounded by towering pine and fir trees and wildflowers that bloom during the Spring season. The place got its name from the notable huckleberry bushes that thrive in the area.

The camp may be a little bit primitive in nature with no lodging homes and fancy facilities present but it does have 25 scattered campsites and each one has a fire ring, a picnic table, and nearby vault toilets. Campers must also take note that there are no dumpsters in the area so it's a must to clean up after.

The best times to visit this campground are the seasons of Spring, Summer, and Fall. The camp operates between May 15th to October 15th. You don't need parking passes and you can bring their pets with them if you wish too.

Given the camp's spacious area, there are lots of outdoor activities that you can do here. Visitors can have access to a couple of biking, hiking, and off-road trails surrounding the area. Plus, you can do huckleberry picking as long as you want.

If you want to visit this amazing campground, take Highway 62 if you're coming from Prospect, Oregon and take a right when you reach Forest Road 60. After that, you're going to reach a fork in about 2 miles so you need to take a right turn when you do. Just keep on going for about 9 miles and you'll reach the campground.
