From 6 to 10 p.m. as in times past, this event celebrates the opening of the ice skating season. Recreational skate will rock the house with tunes streaming from DJ Hope. Mascot Chilly the Snowman is sure to be busting out the moves on the ice. Exquisite figure skaters will delight audiences with stunning performances. Hockey enthusiasts living in Ashland homes won’t want to miss the exciting exhibition game. This 3x3 action packed game takes place promptly at 3 p.m. Youngsters in attendences may be inspired to sign up for ice skating or hockey lessons soon to be held at the rink.
This family friendly event is affordable for all. Tickets are $3 for those over five years old. And, skate rentals are $2.50 for all. Newbies to the ice can be eased into the fun with the use of an ice scooter. These training aides are available at no charge. Hot cocoa and coffee and a variety of snacks will be at the ready to warm chilly fingers and fill hungry tummies.
