Meet animals on Ashland real estate.Ashland real estate owners are fortunate to live in an area with lots of opportunities to explore nature and get exercise outdoors. The North Mountain Park Nature Center is maintained by the city of Ashland so that everyone from Ashland homes can learn about native plants and wildlife. The nature center is a refurbished farm house, which has been transformed into a beautiful exhibit hall. A mural by Jenna Kesgen showcases many of the most important natural features of Ashland and Southern Oregon. Kids will enjoy visiting the Discovery Room, where they can see tree frogs, hear different bird calls, and magnify objects with a special camera. Check out a Discovery Kit for just $3 and get an in-depth lesson on a science topic. Tools are included for kids and their grownups to do hands-on learning. The grounds around the nature center have many exhibits as well. See the umma, a recreated dwelling of the Shasta, who were the original inhabitants of Ashland real estate. The Demonstration Gardens are well worth exploring. Each has its own theme. There is a butterfly garden, native plant garden, herb garden, and the bird buffet. Free garden tours are given from May to September on the Wednesday of each month from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.

Of course, the Nature Center also offers many miles of trails so visitors can enjoy the beauty and quiet of the natural world in their backyards.
