Southern Oregon University is the creative and intellectual hub around Ashland real estate. The creative and the intellectual come together in surprising ways at the Schneider Museum of Art. Located on the SOU campus, the Schneider brings challenging and beautiful exhibits to Ashland home owners and university students alike. Each season brings a new exhibit to the Schneider. The current exhibition, entitled In Scene, presents the work of eight artists, working in video, sculpture, installations, and photograms. Each piece explores the theme of the natural world in the digital age. In Scene will be on display until Saturday, June 11, 2016.
Ashland Home Owners Enjoy Special Art Events
The Schneider is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There is a suggested donation of $5 for admission. Free docent-led tours are held regularly on Tuesdays at noon. These tours give visitors a deeper appreciation of the exhibits. The Schneider invites Ashland real estate owners to come to the museum to participate in a full schedule of events. Earth Week is coming up, and a lecture and multi-media presentation on the Columbia River is planned for Tuesday, April 19th at 5:30 p.m. Free Family Days are also held regularly. The next one will be Saturday, April 30th. Families are invited to a day of special programs designed to engage younger visitors in the current exhibit.
