History Of The Park
Vincent Oredson and John D. Todd, owners of the Mountain Ranch Development Company, donated to the Southern Oregon Land Conservancy 10 acres of land which was adjacent to their subdivision back in 1983. After that, it was named as the Oredson-Todd Woods and served as a public natural area for people to use. Later on, the SOLC gave the City of Ashland full authority and ownership to manage the area. Now, the Oredson-Todd Woods is adjoined by the Siskiyou Mountain Park and other city-owned lands so that people can enjoy the beauty of nature in this area. Both of these areas are now being protected by the city government.
Overall, the Siskiyou Mountain Park is a great place for families and friends to relax and enjoy. There are lots of activities here for everyone.
